HIGH VELOCITY BURNERS / FUEL FIRED BURNERS FOR PWHT

The use of high velocity burners is an effective method of curing and drying out moisture from refractory materials in the start-up process. Working under carefully controlled conditions, the risk of damage to refractories caused by spalling can be fully eliminated and thereby extend the life of the refractory.

In external firing method, large vessel seam LSR operation can be carried out by applying heat under controlled conditions using incertech high velocity fuel fired burners inserted via suitable openings into the temporary furnace and the products of combustion exhausted through suitable openings to the top of the furnace with mechanical control dampers arrangement.

A large variety of Storage Tanks, LPG Bullets, Pressure Vessels, Spheres and welded fabrications structures can be subjected to Post Weld Heat Treatment as per ASME & other international Codes by utilizing Incertech High Velocity Diesel/Gas Burners.

The temperature uniformity that can be achieved by direct internal fuel firing method ensures that even the most stringent standards and specifications are met fully. The method utilise burner(s) directly inserted into the vessels through suitable openings such as man ways, nozzles etc It is then of most importance that throughout the heating and cooling cycle, the expansion and contraction of the vessel must be closely monitored and controlled to avoid any distortion or deformation in the vessel. For this moving saddles play a crucial role and absorb all such stresses that may cause deformation.

  5. The burners have interchangeable outlet nozzles, which have been designed to suit the specific openings available in the vessel or furnace, thereby ensuring that the hot gases are distributed in the most efficient and uniform manner.

The Combustion unit is designed for manual operation, while automatic control can also be provided.

  1. Fuel used can be LPG, Natural Gas or Propane for gas fired burners and HSD or LDO for Oil Fired Burners
  2. It is suitably controlled by PID type controllers for automatic burners and by operating valve train for manual burners in order to achieve complete combustion
  3. Combustion air is fan blown, requiring 380/440 V, 50 Hz, 3 phase electrical Supply
  4. Flame supervision is by flame relay and U.V. flame sensor
  5. Ignition is achieved by direct spark ignition transformer & fitted spark probe
